The South High School Mission

Having assembled a faculty dedicated to their craft, South High School is really a school within a school. Teachers are committed to studying and developing research-based best practices that benefit the student. In conjunction with the Teacher Advancement Program, Columbus Education Association, and The Ohio State University, the faculty uses "student centered strategies" to deliver a meaningful educational experience. Coupled with a strong vision of continued academic, athletic, and attendance excellence, while building relationships of compassion and concern for the individual student, it is South High School's goal to prepare students for post-secondary education, advanced technology training, success in the world of work, and productive citizenry.

The South High School Staff

The staff is a dedicated group of caring professionals with a wide range of teaching experience. Over one-half of the staff members have earned a master's degree as well as national board certifications and doctorates. We are involved in ongoing job-embedded professional development.
